Equine Experience

Horses hold a deep wisdom that can help us remember who we are.

Have you been drawn to horses but aren’t sure what to do next?

We’re offering a unique opportunity to explore your connection with horses. Our horses are empowered to speak their minds and invited to share their wisdom. Our programs are all ground-based and do not involve any training or “use” of the horses. We spend respectful time together, listening to them for inspiration and guidance.

A session with horses may be focused on:

  • Presence
  • Heart coherence and resonance
  • Compassionate boundaries
  • Finding creative solutions
  • Non-verbal communication
  • Meditation
  • Mindfulness
  • Horse care and advocacy
  • or Create your own experience
Connecting

When you first meet a horse, you will feel a tranquil yet powerful energy surrounding you. By exchanging breath and touch with the horse, you will foster a profound connection that can nourish your heart and evoke emotions of love, serenity, and unity.

These sessions are suitable for adults or introducing children to the wisdom of nature and for improving family dynamics through observing the herd.

What to expect

You will gain insight into the nonverbal communication of horses, including their gestures, herd dynamics, subtle gestures, and other movements. By understanding how these elements come together to convey messages to both horses and humans, you will be equipped to use their language for effective communication and building connections in your life.

You will have the opportunity to:
  • Set an intention to receive clarity on a personal issue
  • View the horse as a metaphor for how to engage in life
  • Or simply enter with an open heart, to whatever comes from your interaction with the horses

Walking Together

Horses can take us further and faster than we can go alone

In the past, horses transported our physical bodies. Today, when we respect a horse’s autonomy, we empower ourselves to become someone who can move beyond domestication and into remembering our innate wild wisdom that connects us all.

Equines are now being recognized for what may be their most important gifts to humanity as teachers, and guides.

What Makes a Horse a Horse?

Horses are Herd Animals

Horses are always working toward balance and harmony within their herd. They balance their need to depend on and protect each other with their need to find their own place in the herd and in the world around them. Everyone wants to fit in somewhere. Horses show us healthy ways to do this.

Horses are Prey Animals
As prey animals, horses possess a heightened sense of awareness that has allowed them to survive for centuries and makes them particularly suitable for this type of work. They possess an extraordinary ability to perceive emotional states and nonverbal cues in their surroundings, akin to our own “gut feeling.” Horses can attune themselves to our thoughts and feelings, enabling us to connect with our hearts and follow our intuition.
Horses are Excellent Communicators

Horses are skilled communicators, relying on body language and posturing to convey messages within their herds. They possess a remarkable ability to perceive even the most subtle body language cues that we as humans often overlook or misunderstand. By working with horses, we can learn to recognize and interpret our own and others’ nonverbal communication more effectively.

What a wonderful experience, and just what I needed in my busy life! I had no expectations, and that was, in part, what made the Equine Experience so profound. I’m grateful for the opportunity to disconnect from my daily world and just BE, while sitting in the pasture as part of the herd—and the horses knew exactly what I needed! I’ve never experienced the magical effects of connecting like this; exchanging breath and touch with horses and feeling the energetic exchange of true connection, love, serenity, and unity. Stormy was the perfect guide for this experience, too. Her quiet presence allowed me to relax and enjoy everything around me and in me.

– Susan M. Davis

I had a hard to explain over the top experience this morning with Stormy May. My dog and I had a couple of traumatic experiences, to which I am getting help with. We all have trama and mine is compounded by lack of mindfulness. Stormy along with her horses taught us to be at peace with ourselves. Hard to explain but she and her horses had a profound experience on me and my dog. It was over the top as I plan to go back for more as needed. Can’t say enough about what happened to us this morning. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience what Stormy can do for you.

Sincerely, Bob Norman

Beyond the Fences

Meditation / Visualization
Engaging in either silent or guided meditation while standing alongside your equine companion can create an opportunity to open your heart and establish a secure environment for emotional healing.
Horse-guided bodywork
In horse-guided bodywork, participants allow the horses to influence their touch in order to establish a profound bond. As individuals attune themselves to the equine language, they will start to perceive the horses’ subtle guidance.
